Treasury Features for June 2015

Treasuries that my items have been featured on Etsy in the month of June 2015.

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor ~ Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough  by Nicole Fischer of PaperDahlsLLC is a lovely collection of my favorite flavor as well. I want to bite into each and every one of these items, but I suspect some of them would not be very tasty.

Wear your food by Katie Baker from MarysRemedies is a sweet little collection of wearable foods.

Fish Friday June 13-19, 2015

Another Friday has come and I am still watching fish. It is very relaxing and fun. There are so many different kinds of fish to see and you never know what will swim by each day.

My Other Crafts

I thought I might share some of the other crafts that I do besides polymer clay charms. These are things I have done or are working.

  • Painting wooden animals - I get the wooden toy animals from Michaels and try to paint them to look as close to the real animals as possible.

  • Quilting - I don't know much about quilting. My Granny use to quilt all the time, but I didn't take the time to learn from her when she was still alive. Now I have to teach myself. I am working on making a small quilt for my cat to lay on.

  • Soap making - Right now I am just making melt and pour soap so that I can get the hang of color and scent concentrations. Besides it is very easy to make and almost instant gratification. I am planning to learn to make my own soap in the future.

  • Tangles - I apparently have been drawing tangles for most of my life, but it didn't have a name for it. I just put different textures inside of pictures. I am interested in zen tangles and have been learning to do some of the official ones and working on some drawings using them.

I plan to do future blog posts about each of these individual crafts and others that I have not listed. I hope you will come back to see what else I have been up to.

Fish Friday: June 6 - 12, 2015

Sometimes I just really get into snapping screenshots of the live webcams. The week ends with hundreds of pictures and it is hard to pick which ones to showcase.

Fairy Doors of Ann Arbor

Ann Arbor, Michigan seems to be plagued (or blessed) with fairy doors. These pint sized entries have been popping up all over the city for years. The very first one was spotted in the home of Jonathon and Kathleen Wright back in 1993. The doors spread quickly from there and they seem to come and go.

My family and I went to Ann Arbor to see these doors for ourselves. We spotted a few and even saw a fairy sized store under the window of a human sized store and a movie ticket window.

Some of the doors seem to have been vandalized by jealous goblins who may have come through the goblin door that we spotted on our walk.

Once we were home, we noticed a fairy door had appeared in our house. The fairies forgot to lock it and we took a peak inside.

A few days later we discovered another fairy door in our bathroom. I guess the fairies must have followed us home and decided it was a good place to live.

If you would like to know more about the Fairy Doors of Ann Arbor, you can check out the the Urban Fairies website.

Fish Friday May 30-June 5, 2015

I just love watching the relaxing and sometimes exciting atmosphere of the underwater world. All pictures in this post are screen shots from various webcams.

The camera housing has been cleaned recently so the pictures are very clear. The camera operators for the Cayman Cam are excellent.
